Creating Your Account Step 1: If you do not have an ABEL account already, please request your ABEL account HERE. You will get an email from ABEL once your account has been created. It will include login information. Step 2: Request your Moodle account (once your ABEL membership has been activated and you get an email with your login). To do this, go to abelearn.ca, login with the login and password ABEL emails to you. Click on SERVICES. Then click on TOOLS & SUPPORT. Then click on the button “request a tool” at the bottom of the page. From here you get taken to a portal that looks like the image below. You need to click on Content Management System and then Moodle 2. From here click “request account”. You will now get an email from ABEL once your Moodle has been created with information on how to log in.
Using Moodle You will now get another email from ABEL once your Moodle account has been created. This will include login information so you can access the platform. You will also be automatically registered in a Moodle Training Moodle/Course. This will show up under your “My Courses” once you’ve logged into Moodle. In this Moodle are all sorts of supports, both video and written to help you set up your Moodle course and use it effectively.
